Description: Sergeant Meagher was responding to an alarm activation at a medical facility when he and three other deputies were exposed to a liquid nitrogen leak which caused toxic fumes to be released when they were attempting to assist an employee of the facility. The fire department arrived at the scene and found Sergeant Meagher unresponsive and transported him, three other deputies, and the medical facility employee to the hospital where Sergeant Meagher succumbed to his injuries.
