Description: Major Memmelaar suffered a fatal heart attack while participating in a department sanctioned physical fitness program. Major Memmelaar was working out at the gym in the department and experienced discomfort in his chest. Major Memmelaar thought it was acid reflux and returned to his office a short time later and collapsed. Major Memmelaar was transported to the hospital where he later died.
