Description: Lieutenant Mainhart was shot and killed while following up on an earlier domestic disturbance call. Lieutenant Mainhart located the suspect in a parked vehicle at another location. Upon approaching the suspect, Lieutenant Mainhart was fatally shot. The suspect then barricaded himself inside a home for five hours, while holding a woman hostage and threatening to shoot law enforcement officers. He later released the woman and was arrested. Also, two other people were found dead at the home where the initial domestic disturbance occurred.
