Description: Agent Matias-Torres drowned when his vehicle was caught in floodwaters during Hurricane Maria. Agent Matias-Torres completed a 24-hour shift as part of the hurricane response and rescue efforts. He was attempting to return to the police station when his vehicle was caught in high water and washed into the Culebrinas River in Aguada. His body was recovered the following day.
