Description: Corporal Marquez was shot multiple times when he responded to a domestic call. The suspect had blocked the front door entrance of the residence which forced the officers to enter from the back of the residence. As Corporals John Gardner and Arlie Jones attempted to enter the residence, the suspect fatally shot both men multiple times. Officer Marquez, who was also shot and critically wounded, died four days later.
