Description: Officer McNaughton was fatally injured when he was struck by a drunk driver. Officers McNaughton and J.B. Timmie were processing an accident scene when a motorist struck one of the vehicles involved in the crash, which then struck both officers. Officer McNaughton was thrown to the pavement and suffered a fractured skull. He died of his injuries eight days later. Officer Timmie was injured and suffered non-life threatening injuries.
