Description: Attempting other arrest (excludes burglary, robbery and drug-related arrests). Captain Morris and Officer Friddle had arrested suspect for manslaughter, intoxication, and disorderly conduct. While escorting the suspect to the city jail, a scuffle ensued. Captain Morris was struck in the stomach by the knee of the suspect, causing his lung to collapse. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
