Description: Detective Moore was escorting three suspects to jail when they broke free and ran. Detective Moore fired first a warning shot then a second shot at one of the fleeing suspects. The suspect turned and shot Detective Moore several times. Detective Moore died in the hospital the next day. The suspect, who was captured several months later, was also wanted for the murder of Town Marshal Nicholas Craig..
