Description: Captain Thomas Williams, Privates J. Daniels, Wesley Cherry and Andrew Melville entered a saloon to arrest a man who was carrying a pistol in violation of a recent law that was enacted. A gunfight erupted with Captain Williams, Privates Daniels and Melville fatally shot. Private Melville died of his injuries a month later.
