Description: Captain Motes suffered a heart attack after he subdued an intoxicated, struggling suspect. Captain Motes responded to assist a deputy arrest a man and woman involved in a domestic dispute. Captain Motes struggled with the woman who was resisting arrest and placed her in the patrol car. As Captain Motes went to arrest the man, he collapsed. Captain Motes was rushed to the hospital where he died later that day.
