Description: On February 3, 1907 Police Officers May and J.M. Hoover were on foot patrol in plainclothes when they were fired upon while attempting to question a suspicious suspect. Officer May was shot in the shoulder. Officer Hoover returned fire and killed the suspect. Officer May died of his injuries three weeks later on February 28th.
