Description: Officer McIntyre was shot by a hobo as he escorted the man to jail for vagrancy. A three day manhunt failed to apprehend the suspect. Officer McIntyre was paralyzed from the waist down and spent the rest of his life in a wheelchair. Officer McIntyre died from complications of his injuries five years later.
