Description: While visiting a local hospital Officer Miller and his wife were walking to their vehicle in the hospital parking lot. Detective Miller was unarmed and in civilian clothes when he noticed a man exiting his vehicle armed with two handguns. When the suspect approached, Detective Miller identified himself as a police officer and attempted to calm the suspect and delay him from entering the hospital. The suspect then raised the two handguns and shot Detective Miller two times and fled the scene. The suspect was arrested by hospital police. Detective Miller died two days later on Christmas day.
