Description: Police Officer Moon was off-duty in his personal vehicle teaching a friend how to drive, when they were approached by a 15 year old juvenile who was wielding a rifle. Without provocation, the suspect fired a round into the window of the car and fled with Officer Moon in pursuit. The suspect turned and shot Officer Moon once in the chest. Officer Moon died at the scene. The suspect shot and killed one person and wounded two others before he was arrested 27 days later. The suspect was convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison.
