Description: Deputy Sheriff Manuel and Deputy Sheriff Jonathan Wallace were accidentally struck and killed while removing spike sticks from the roadway. Fellow officers were pursuing a stolen vehicle in an area where there were no street lights and poor visibility. Deputy Wallace and Deputy Manuel were instructed to deploy spike sticks to stop the vehicle. While removing the sticks, both deputies were struck and killed by another deputy who was also engaged in the pursuit. Inadvertent Action.
