Description: Deputy Miller and several other lawmen were trying to remove a mentally deranged man from a confined room, when the man grabbed Deputy Miller's weapon & started shooting. Deputy Miller was shot with his own gun just below his bullet proof vest, severing an artery in the groin and fatally wounding him. Deputy Dennis Nixon was wounded but survived. Deputy William Scott shot the suspect.
