Description: Officer Mundo responded to a domestic disturbance call where a man had assaulted his wife. The suspect had been drinking and fled the scene by car. Officer Mundo joined in the search for the suspect. The suspect came around a sharp bend on Jericho Road at a high rate of speed and struck Officer Mundo's patrol unit head-on, killing him. Once again, the suspect fled the scene but turned himself in approximately one hour after the accident.
