Description: To mark their centennial celebration, the town of Marion delighted in their welcome of President Warren Harding. Captain Masterson, part of Harding's advance team, was suffering from foot problems but would not pass on his duties. As he exited a car, he stumbled back, hit his head on the sidewalk, and died the next day.
