Description: Deputy Sheriff Mabry was shot twice after he stopped an automobile on US-58. The department had received a report regarding con men running a home repair scam in the neighborhood. Deputy Mabry radioed that he had stopped the suspected vehicle and reported the license number. Deputy Mabry was found in the driver's seat with two gunshot wounds to the head and with his pistol still in its holster. A suspect was arrested and charged with murder. A second suspect was also wanted for questioning.
