Description: Sheriff Mooney was accidentally shot in stomach while transporting a prisoner who had escaped from the Baxter County Jail. While a train was pulling into the station at Holdenville, Oklahoma, Sheriff Mooney leaned over to look out onto the station platform. His gun, which was in his belt, fell out and discharged, killing him instantly.
