Description: Postal Inspector McMahon fell to his death while conducting an internal criminal investigation at the Akron, Ohio Post Office. Inspector McMahon lost his footing as he was moving from one passageway to another inside the building's observation gallery, located twenty feet above the workroom floor. Inspector McMahon fell down an enclosed shaft and struck his head on the concrete floor. Inspector McMahon died of a fractured skull.
