Description: Captain Monier was shot and killed after he and another officer responded to a residence where shots had been fired. As Captain Monier entered the house the suspect opened fire. Captain Monier was struck in the chest and abdomen but returned fire, fatally wounding the suspect. Captain Monier was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
