Description: Deputy Mangold, accompanied by several other deputies, responded to a call reporting a burglary in progress at a local grocery. As the deputies went to investigate a noise near the rear of the store, Deputy Mangold was shot at close range in the chest. Deputy Mangold was transported to a local hospital where he later was pronounced dead.
