Description: Deputy McCammon was shot while attempting to arrest a man who threatened to free a prisoner who was being transported to a hearing. The man had visited the prisoner the day before and promised that he would help him escape and "fix" Deputy McCammon if he interfered. Deputy McCammon was shot in the head by the man as he was on his way to the jail. The man was arrested.
