Description: Officer Miller was killed by a bomb thrown by anarchists during a labor dispute. Seven other officers were killed in the same incident that became known as the Haymarket Riot: Mathias J. Degan, John Barrett, Timothy Flavin, Timothy O?Sullivan, Thomas Redden, Nels Hansen and Michael Sheehan. Several other officers were injured as well but survived.
