Description: Officers Motchan and Joseph Connors escorted an inmate to the County Hospital dental clinic. The inmate asked to go to restroom. Unaware that the inmate's girlfriend had hidden a gun in the restroom, the officers permitted him to go. The inmate came out of bathroom stall and fatally shot Officer Motchan. The inmate was caught, tried and convicted.
