Description: Deputy Mumpower died from complications of a strangulated hernia after he located two stills hidden in a mountains of Abindon, Virginia. After locating the stills, Deputy Mumpower broke them down and carried them from the mountain to his patrol vehicle. While en route to headquarters, Deputy Mumpower became ill and drove himself to the Kings Mountain Hospital where he was diagnosed with the strangulated hernia. Deputy Mumpower remained in the hospital and died four days later.
