Description: Agent Mooring was beaten and shot while investigating and collecting evidence in a bootlegging case against a tavern owner in Washington state. Agent Mooring was rushed to the hospital and recovered sufficiently to testify against his attackers. Agent Mooring never fully recovered from his injuries and died two years later.
