Description: Deputy McCoy was killed in an automobile accident while returning from firearms training as required by the Texas Peace Officers State Statute. While returning to the department, Deputy McCoy's police vehicle was struck head-on by an intoxicated driver. The suspect's vehicle was traveling the wrong way on a one way street when it struck Deputy McCoy's vehicle. Deputy McCoy was killed instantly.
