Description: Officer Moody was bayoneted in his leg during a riot by soldiers following the arrest of two members of their Company. Officer Moody's leg had to be amputated, but he died during surgery. Nineteen mutinous soldiers were hanged and sixty-three received life sentences in federal prison. Officers Rufus Daniels, E G Meinke, Ross Patton and Ira Raney were also killed in this incident.
