Description: Deputy McRee was killed in an automobile accident while en route to serve a warrant. Deputy McRee and two other deputies were en route to serve four warrants in the Plateau section of the county when their patrol vehicle failed to negotiate a curve and went down a 30-foot embankment. Deputy McRee received critical chest injuries and a broken pelvis. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
