Description: Senior Captain Myers was off-duty near his home in Calhoun County when he was ambushed and shot nine times by a suspect on a multi-state crime spree. The suspect, a member of the 5 Percenters gang, began his crime spree July 14, 2004, and Captain Myers was the third victim. Captain Myers arrived at his residence in his department vehicle and in uniform and entered his workshop. The suspect fatally shot Captain Myers and then burned the body.
