Description: Officers Mobley and Tony Spells arrested an intoxicated suspect and placed him in the back seat of the patrol car. The suspect shot both officers in the back as they sat in the front seat. Officer Mobley died the next day. Officer Spells recovered. The suspect was convicted of murder and received a life sentence.
