Description: County Patrolman Mize was shot with his own gun as he transported a robbery suspect to the jail. The suspect gained control of Patrolman Mize's service weapon and shot him. The suspect exited the patrol car and shot and wounded a second officer. The suspect was convicted of murder and sentenced to death in the electric chair.
