Description: Officer Mason was shot in the head by a sniper at the Mantua Hall housing project. Officer Mason, along with his partner, James Singletary, had just completed a disturbance call and were sitting in their patrol vehicle when he was shot. Officer Mason was taken to the hospital in critical condition and died of his wounds three days later.
