Description: Corporal Makowski was shot and killed after responding to a call involving an armed suspect who was arguing with city workers. When the responding officers arrived, the suspect opened fire. Corporal Makowski was struck in the face as he attempted to take cover. Corporal Makowski was pronounced dead the next morning at the hospital.
