Description: Deputy Mitchell was shot and killed after making a traffic stop. Deputy Mitchell had radioed dispatch that he was stopping a vehicle for speeding and was not heard from again. Back-up deputies arrived at the scene and found Deputy Mitchell with a gunshot wound to the head. Deputy Mitchell was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
