Description: Officer Mundy and Wilson County Deputy John Musice were struck and killed by a vehicle being pursued by law enforcement authorities. Officer Mundy and Deputy Musice deployed spike sticks across the roadway on I-40. The suspects, traveling at speeds exceeding 140 mph, swerved to avoid the spikes. Officer Mundy and Deputy Musice were both struck by the stolen vehicle, and killed instantly.
