Description: Patrolman Maguire was shot and killed while he and several other officers responded to an armed robbery in progress. As Patrolman Maguire arrived on the scene he was confronted by one of the fleeing suspects and exchanged gunfire. During the exchange, Patrolman Maguire was struck twice in the chest. Patrolman Maguire was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his wounds.
