Description: Deputy Sheriff Martin was mistaken for an offender and shot when he answered an emergency call at a school. Deputy Martin and two other officers entered the basement of the school to conduct a search for intruders. The maintenance employee did not recognize the deputies and thought they were robbers and opened fire, killing Deputy Martin. The employee was arrested and charged with murder.
