Description: Deputy Sheriff Mecklenburg was killed in a single-vehicle crash while involved in a pursuit of a suspect. Deputy Mecklenburg lost control of his vehicle which caused his patrol car to leave the roadway and strike a tree. Deputy Mecklenburg was transported to a nearby hospital where he died. The suspect was apprehended by law enforcement.
