Description: Deputy Sheriff Mitchell was shot after seizing and destroying a carload of illegal whiskey. Deputy Mitchell was approached by the suspect who demanded to know where the liquor was. When Deputy Mitchell told the suspect that he had disposed of the liquor, the suspect pulled a gun and shot him twice at point-blank range and fled.
