Description: Officer McGovern was escorting a robbery suspect back to the station when he realized he was being followed by two suspicious men. Officer McGovern was attacked by the two men and after a short struggle, four shots rang out. Officer McGovern was fatally wounded and died on the way to the hospital. The man convicted of shooting him was sent to State Prison.
