Description: Deputy Myers went to Doyleville to arrest a suspect on a warrant. The suspect refused to go and retreated inside his house. The suspect seized his rifle and fired at Deputy Myers, hitting him twice and inflicting mortal wounds. The suspect fled but was later shot and killed by Sheriff E. Deering.
