Description: Deputy Musice and Mount Juliet Officer Jerry Mundy were struck and killed by a vehicle being pursued by law enforcement authorities. Deputy Musice and Officer Mundy deployed spike sticks across the roadway on I-40. The suspects, traveling at speeds exceeding 140 mph, swerved to avoid the spikes. Deputy Musice and Officer Mundy were both struck by the stolen vehicle, and killed instantly.
