Description: Patrol Officer Molina died as a result of injuries sustained during an assault nine days prior while taking police action after confronting a suspect who vandalized his vehicle while off-duty. Officer Molina identified himself as an officer and began an investigation for the on-view offense. The suspect suddenly attacked Officer Molina, beating him unconscious. Officer Molina was taken to a hospital where he remained until his death. The suspect fled the scene and was later charged with capital murder.
