Description: Officer Marrero was shot and killed by a suspect wanted for bank robbery. The suspect and his girlfriend had just robbed a Bank of America. Officer Marrero was shot several times by the male suspect while attempting to arrest him. When additional officers arrived, the suspects ran inside an apartment complex where they took hostages. When the officers entered the apartment complex, the male suspect committed suicide. Officer Marrero was pronounced dead at the scene. Officer Cole Scudder was wounded in the leg in this incident.
