Description: As Officer McGlothlin and his wife exited a theater, they passed a group of men who were loitering and using profane language. Officer McGlothlin reprimanded the men and reminded them that women were present. One man became more verbally combative and Officer McGlothlin threatened to arrest him. The man ran around the corner with Officer McGlothlin in pursuit. The man drew a gun and shot Officer McGlothlin. Officer McGlothlin died the next day.
