Description: Officer Mizelle responded to a call where shots had been fired from a local apartment complex. When he arrived he was immediately ambushed by a mentally deranged gunman. Officer Mizelle was shot five times as he exited his patrol unit. He was transported to the local hospital where he underwent five hours of surgery before succumbing to his wounds.
