Description: Deputy Sheriff Martin was killed in an automobile accident while in pursuit of a suspected rum runner car. Deputy Martin and another deputy were posted on the side of the road waiting for a car suspect of running illegal rum. While in pursuit of the suspect vehicle, Deputy Martins' patrol vehicle was forced down a ten-foot embankment. Deputy Martin suffered a broken neck and a fractured skull and pronounced dead at the scene.
